Hometown: Edwardsville, IL

Undergraduate Education: Graduating from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Dr. Hyten earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1997.

Dental Education: Dr. Hyten attended the Southern Illinois University/ School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL earning his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) in 2001.

Specialty Training: Dr. Hyten is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr. Hyten pursued his four year specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In 2005, he earned his certificate and Master of Science (M.S.) in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Practice History: After completing his education in June of 2005, Dr. Hyten opened his practice the following July. Edwardsville Oral Surgery & Implant Center is the culmination of Dr. Hyten’s educational and professional career.

Professional Associations: Dr. Hyten is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Madison District Dental Society.

Family: Residing in Edwardsville, Dr. Hyten and his wife Kristi are excited to be raising their children Ellie, Joey and Sarah in their hometown. The Hytens enjoy many outdoor activities including golf and going for walks with the family dog Maddie.
