WHAT IS AN ORAL SURGEON?
An oral surgeon is a dentist with advanced training in surgical techniques, anesthesia and medicine. Oral surgery is generally 4 years of specialty training after dental school. An oral surgeon is able to perform a wide variety of procedures on the hard and soft tissues of the mouth and face. These surgeries include dental extractions, dental implants, trauma surgery, surgical pathology and corrective jaw surgery.

OUR GOAL
We are committed to providing the highest standard of service in a relaxed, pleasant environment utilizing our specially trained staff and state-of-the art equipment.

PATIENT COMFORT
Patient comfort is our primary concern. Many simple procedures can be comfortably performed utilizing local anesthesia. However, we do offer nitrous oxide, IV sedation and general anesthesia to our patients to maximize their comfort for more involved procedures.

INFECTION CONTROL
Our practice exceeds the highest standards of infection control advocated by the American Dental Association, the CDC, and OSHA. We utilize state-of-the-art cleaning and sterilization equipment. Providing a safe environment for our patients is always our most important mission.

WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?
Dental implants are one of the many options available today for replacing missing teeth. Dental implants are artificial tooth roots used to replace missing teeth. They are made from a special material called titanium, which allows the bone to actually grow onto the implant. After a short healing phase, your dentist can fashion a crown or prosthesis that fits over the implant to replace your missing teeth. While there is no certainty concerning healing, successful results occur in greater than 90% of cases. Ask your dentist and Dr. Hyten if dental implants are right for you.

OUR FEE POLICY
We are committed to providing you with the best possible care and are pleased to discuss our professional fees with you at any time. Consultation fees are payable at the time of consultation. It is the policy of this office that fees for treatment, not covered by insurance, be paid in full on the day of treatment.

We accept VISA, Mastercard, and Discover for your convenience. Please ask if you have any questions about our fees, financial policy, or your responsibility. Please give at least 24 hours notice of change of appointment if cancellation is necessary, otherwise a charge may be made.

INSURANCE
We routinely work with dental and medical insurance policies. If you have insurance, we will do all we can to maximize your benefit. We will file insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients. We do not accept insurance assignment as payment on a consultation visit. However, we will file your insurance claim forms so that you can be reimbursed by your insurance company to the extent of your coverage. On treatment procedures, we usually accept your insurance if we obtain appropriate insurance information prior to treatment. If we accept your insurance, you are responsible for your estimated portion not covered by your insurance on the day services are rendered.
